DUKE UNIVERSITY
Duke University is a private research university located in Durham, North Carolina and is probably the most beautiful North Carolina University I've ever seen.
The Chapel itself is a must see when you come here. It is a symbol of the university, and is located at the center of the Gothic West Campus.
Now, I have been inside the chapel and it is extremely impressive. Go in and take some time to look around and enjoy it. You will be blown away!
The architecture on this campus is the first thing you will notice, and of course, you will be in awe. Of all the universities in North Carolina, this one is the most impressive, and they are all beautiful!
But as we walked around, we came across some of the students working on a project. They were kind enough to stop and talk with us. We discussed the obsession with North Carolina basketball and they gave us some information about a few places to find some great North Carolina bbq and some things we should see on campus. We also noticed the North Carolina state flag flying proudly at the dorms.
The hospitality of the students in North Carolina
would have been surprising if I were any place else, but for some reason, it didn't surprise me there.
The most popular attractions to see are:
Duke Chapel
Duke Forest
Lemur Center
Nasher Museum of Art
Sarah P. Duke Gardens
Cameron Indoor Stadium
Duke University Stores
Keep this in mind when you come to visit: Duke Chapel is open to visitors 8 a.m.-10 p.m. during the academic year and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. during the summer. And if you are interested, ecumenical worship services are held every Sunday at 11 a.m.
