Wherever your headed, get out your map of North Carolina and get moving!

But when heading to the North Carolina coast and you want to get a bite to eat, here are just a few of the best Coast Restaurants. They are here because they have gotten great reviews from friends, family or perhaps, even you!

North Carolina State Wolfpack Four Piece BBQ Set

HOWARD'S PUB AND RAW BAR RESTAURANT

Located at 1175 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke Island, NC, 27960 on Hwy 12, on Ocracoke Island, Howard's Pub and Raw Bar Restaurant should not be missed.

IF you are looking for a place that you can feel like a native, and have some good food, You will want to stop by Howard's.

The bar is the single most popular Meeting place on the island, with a selection of over 200 beers, it's a gathering spot for vacationers and natives alike.



BACK PORCH

If you are looking to go a coast restaurant that is a little less casual, try the Back Porch at 110 Back Rd, Ocracoke Island, NC also on Hwy 12.

It's fine food offers fresh local seafood that is a big hit with the islanders and visitor's as well. Fresh bread is baked daily, (can you smell it...yum!) and lots of incredible selections to choose from, you simply can't go wrong.

Located on Irvin Garrish Highway, Jason's Restaurant is a great place to end your day, with it's great tasting food at a great price in a comfortable atmosphere, your going to enjoy this!

Their menu consists of traditional items like chicken and steak, as well as subs and pizza, but don't forget where you are, you can also have fresh seafood and homemade deserts!

The locals order prime rib, but you can choose from fresh seafood, pasta and chicken, southern style. The whole family will find something they love with Captain Ben's diverse menu.

The atmosphere...what else but nautical styled.

Serving Brunch and Dinner, this is a casual atmosphere that serves up some amazing dishes. A couple of talented chef's got together and created dishes from traditional Southern and Creole cooking. Pasta, steaks, pork and chicken are on the menu as well as A variety of local seafood dishes.

They are located on Irvin Garrish Highway, so come on in and have yourself a very tasty meal.

TOPPER'S PIZZA & PASTA

Located at 41934 NC Highway 12 Avon, NC they get rave reviews.

Great food at a great price, how can you argue with that. The staff is friendly to boot! The rumor is that this is the best pizza on the Outer Banks.

MAMA KWAN'S GRILL & TIKI BAR

1701 S Croatan Highway, Kill Devil Hills, NC

Good service and some excellent food. This is a favorite among locals and vacationers alike. The fish tacos get rave reviews as well as the many delicious appetizers.

Obviously, this is not a complete list of all the coast restaurants, and not even a complete list of the best ones. I will continue to add to the restaurants page and if you happen to find a really good one, I'd love to hear from you.

When traveling, it can sometimes be a little overwhelming to find a good place to eat that won't break the bank.
