North Carolina Weather

"North Carolina weather is like a buffet, there is a little bit of everything and it's all enjoyable."

Although the weather in North Carolina is considered to be relatively mild, we do have all the seasons and sometime we do experience extremes.

The N C weather report may surprise you on certain days. Despite being considered to be a sunbelt state, it does not get nearly as hot as some of the southern states.

North Carolina local weather temperatures normally stay in the range of fifty degrees to about ninety degrees but when extremes do occur, summer days may creep into the hundreds, and in winter, we may see snow!

Our rain varies throughout the state and the North Carolina forecast can change quickly. The average annual rainfall falls between thirty and sixty inches giving our landscape a beautiful lush green color we are so famous for.

But when we talk about storms, we don't fool around. We have some real wild ones! Living on the coast can be scary, even if you feel like you are ready for one!

Storms...

But remember, it doesn't storm here too often and the weather is something we take great pride in. Our beautiful days can't be beat and the North Carolina climate is, after all, what our visitors come for.

Snow...

Fog...

Sunset...

Clear sky...

Really, it just doesn't get any better than this!
