The city of Salisbury welcomes both amateur and professional artists in all areas of the arts, and supports them through the many North Carolina activities available to the public.

Salisbury is proud to offer a lively downtown area that covers several blocks in close proximity to the intersection of Innes Street and Main Street. Dominated by small locally owned merchants, the downtown area offers a wide variety of restaurants with an assortment of cuisines.

Also a big hit in Salisbury are the Downtown Night Outs, held throughout the year, providing opportunities for late night dinners and shopping, a visit to a club to listen to some great music and to visit with friends and neighbors.
