Our Story
From a rented rehearsal room to a full curriculum used by thousands of students across the CIS region.
How It All Started
CardCraft Academy didn't start in a theater. It started in a rented rehearsal room above a laundromat, with one folding table, a single marked deck of cards, and a waiting list of exactly one student.
Our founder, Alex Wolf, spent the better part of a decade performing card manipulation at private parties and small corporate events before realizing the hardest part of the job wasn't the sleight of hand — it was finding anyone willing to teach it properly. Most lessons he'd taken were either vague "watch and copy" video courses or expensive one-off workshops that assumed you already knew the basics. There was no clear path from "I want to learn a card trick" to "I can hold a room for ten minutes."
So he built one. The first course was four lessons long, taught in person to a single curious coworker who wanted to impress people at parties. Within a year, word of mouth had turned that one student into a waiting list, and the waiting list into a real curriculum: beginner fundamentals, classic silk manipulation, hat and production work, and eventually a full stage program built around a repeatable structure instead of just a pile of tricks.
Today, CardCraft Academy runs entirely online, with instructors and guest experts covering everything from first-week card fundamentals to full ten-minute stage acts. We still teach the same way we started: short, focused lessons, honest feedback on your technique, and a genuine path from "complete beginner" to "someone people ask to perform at their events." Every course in our catalog exists because a real student needed it, not because it looked good in a marketing brochure.
We're proud that our first-ever student is now one of our senior instructors. That's the kind of full circle we're trying to build for everyone who joins us next.
Our mission: teach magic as a real performing art and stagecraft skill — not a party trick you forget in a week. We measure our success by how many students go from watching tutorials to actually performing in front of a real audience.

Reviews About the School
Learned 25 tricks in 2 months. My instructor's feedback videos made all the difference.
I'm already running mini-shows at corporate events — never thought a hobby would pay for itself this fast.
The guest expert sessions on coins were incredible. I finally understand the classic palm.
Signed up skeptical, stayed because the curriculum is genuinely structured, not just a random pile of tricks.
Best decision of my year. I've performed at three weddings already, and I'm just getting started.
